What are sneakers?

As with all other items of clothing, sneakers are something that tells about you and your style. Sneakers are therefore also an important part of your style and certainly not a coincidence. They can be part of your style all year round and are available in countless shades. There are endless possibilities for styling sneakers so they match your outfit, and therefore there is no excuse for not being able to find the sneaker you think suits your style. Sneakers are and will be the perfect footwear.

WHAT IS SNEAKER FASHION

As previously mentioned, sneakers say a lot about your style. But just because you have a colorful sneaker style doesn't mean you have to have colorful sneakers.
You can always create the look you want with your sneakers. You can leave them neutral and thus have your clothes as the dominant element of your outfit. Or vice versa, you can have a relaxed style with a pair of eye-catching sneakers. It's all a matter of taste and preference, but in most cases it will be the classic sneaker silhouette, i.e. the outline, which is a good style choice year after year.

WHAT IS A CLASSIC SNEAKER?

The classic sneaker is always a safe choice when it comes to sneakers, as it never goes out of style. A classic sneaker is characterized by a clean and minimalist design, which is and has been popular for many years. For example, classic white sneakers go with almost any outfit, making your style look well-considered, whether it is or not. That way, you are out of the situation where you can't find a pair of sneakers that match the clothes you've put on.

HISTORY OF SNEAKERS

Sneakers are an old piece of footwear with roots dating back to the 19th century. Originally, sneakers were invented for elite sports, where athletes used them in the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The history of sneakers therefore goes back a long way and was then intended to help athletes perform. Today we know sneakers as an everyday shoe that can be used with shorts as well as suits, which testifies to the great development it has gone through.

THE START OF WHAT WE KNOW AS SNEAKERS

Back in 1839, Charles Goodyear invented and patented the process for vulcanizing rubber, which was the starting point for, among other things, the development of rubber shoes. With that process, you could shape rubber and attach it to other materials, which provided production opportunities for footwear, including the production of sneakers. However, it was not until the 1870s that this production method was used to produce sportswear.

THE FIRST MILESTONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE SNEAKER

If we look forward to the year 1916, an American company called US Rubber launched a shoe series with rubber soles. It was the first of its kind and was marketed under the name "sneakers". After this, development took off and brands such as Converse and Adidas were added. After this, brands such as New Balance, Blue Ribbon Sports (now Nike) and Vans emerged.

For example, if you like trends from the 90s, then you may be the type who wants retro models of sneakers from the brands Reebok and FILA.

It could also be that you are more into wild colors and styles or classic sneakers. Classic white sneakers are an example of a classic model that has become incredibly modern and popular.
