The history of the t-shirt
There are several theories about how the t-shirt came about. But the most widespread is that the American soldiers during World War 1 noticed that the European soldiers wore a cotton t-shirt under their uniforms. The T-shirt was much softer than their own uniforms, which were made of wool.
They adopted the t-shirt, and since then the t-shirt has been further developed into the t-shirt we know today.
Today, the t-shirt is a common item and can be found in everyone's wardrobe.
